CONTRIBUTOR

Gretchen is a Vermont native, and grew up on a third generation “sport farm” (an ever-evolving farm supporting the family) in the foothills of the green mountains. She learned all sorts of sowing, growing, harvesting, and preserving tricks from her parents, and she continues to live sustainably, responsibly, and healthfully with the earth like her parents. Gretchen believes that one may reap the greatest benefits – health in all senses of the term -- of the earth through hard work and care for all beings.

Gretchen is a Certified Behavioral Coach and is also certified to work with the growing number of children on the autism spectrum. She possesses a BA in Environmental Studies, French and Francophone Studies, and English from Bates College in Maine. She has explored Madagascar, Rwanda, Morocco, New Zealand, Japan, Peru, Costa Rica, and many parts of Europe. She has settled in Nice, France, where she enjoys expanding her existing yoga practice and study of Ayurveda, cycling and swimming with her boyfriend along the Riviera, nourishing body and soul with fresh and seasonal local produce, and tutoring in both French and English. Gretchen loves to spend creative time in kitchen, enjoys caring for her plants and continuing to explore the world’s beauty.
