“Hayyy” there everyone ! Equestrian (Horse) Yoga is meant to improve the bond and connection between two living beings — aka a human and a horse, in this case. The practice was originally created to improve core stability, balance, and help yogis stay present, all while creating a unique union with a majestic animal and the nature that surrounds you both.
This class will let you practice your vinyasa flow out on this beautiful farm in Medford NJ. Why is this place so special you ask? We’ll Forgotten Angels Equine Rescue is a non-profit organization that consists of a small group of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to save horses, donkeys mules and ponies from slaughter and neglect. Thousands of horses are annually transported across our borders to be slaughtered for human consumption in European and Asian markets. They regularly find animals in the kill pens just waiting for transport and they acquire as many they can manage to save. This rescue is near and dear to our heart and we are so excited to be able to host such an amazing event here.
Not confident on horse back, but still wanna be close to the horse? Try grounding yoga where you practice besides the horse being able to touch and feel them. Bringing healing to the body, mind and spirit.
YOGA HIVE Phillys instructor, Sydni Arnett will be teaching this class , alongside one of the rescues volunteers incase anyone feels daring enough to jump on and try out a simple pose after the session. Mini horses and a adorable donkey named Shreki will be freely surrounding yogis during your class. Feel free to pet , kiss , take pictures with or just watch them in their natural habitat. Part of the proceeds will be donated to Forgotten Angels Rescue so don’t miss out if this amazing day!
