Food For Thought

What an interesting saying, ‘food for thought’, like an idea to ‘chew on’.

When it comes to digestion, it is as much about our brain as it is our gut. Sayings like these indicate our subconscious awareness of this gut-brain connection and relationship. Both can affect and mirror each other in how they process and digest things.

To be holistic in our pursuit of health, we must observe everything we take in, and one of those things is sound.
We are all enchanted (one way or another) by sounds. What makes our bodies and muscles come alive with music? What helps us pick out the voice of our loved one in a room with a hundred other people?

3 Great Reasons to Eat Seasonally

Seasonal eating: It's become a major buzzword over the last few years, and there are now countless articles declaring the unending benefits of eating seasonally. And for the most part, those articles are right. Many years ago, I had no idea what seasonal eating even meant. Intuitively, I ate hearty soups and stews during the winter, green onions and sprouts during the spring, ice cream in the summer, and pumpkin in the fall. An ice cream cone and a pumpkin latte aren't exactly the heart of seasonal eating, but that's okay.
