Reveal Truth With The 6th Chakra

Have you ever had the experience of a stranger speaking the exact right thing for you to hear precisely during the time your soul needed to hear it? Or how about the countless other times that strangers walk by and the glances or words are meaningless to you?

This ability to bring message and meaning from a seemingly unknown source into your physical reality is the work of the third eye, the 6th chakra. It is no wonder why in Sanskrit this center is called Ajna: to perceive, to command.

Ayurveda 101: Healing Through The Sense Of Sight

We’ve developed an incredible foundational knowledge of the building blocks of life, the mind/body characteristics of the three doshas, and the empowered choice-making that is available to us through this ancient system of health and healing. Now it’s time to explore exactly how to apply Ayurvedic principles and practices in real time.

Ayurveda teaches that we have exclusive, 24/7 access to five distinct Gateways to Healing—also known as our five senses.

New Year's Resolution (Part 2): Visualize It!

In yoga class the other day, the teacher made some announcements, one of which was about welcoming new faces into the existing yoga community as we enter the New Year. I personally love the start of the New Year because people set out to try new things and make changes. It is a time to reset, refresh and renew, and I’m looking forward to meeting some new friends on the mat.

Yoga for the Eyes

My mother wore hard contact lenses for over 30 years. After working with Yoga for the Eyes for several months she began to see a marked improvement in her vision and after six month's time, she didn't need the contacts anymore. Now she only uses reading glasses on the occasion that she is staring at pages for extended periods of time. I was astonished to realize that Yoga for the Eyes was so powerful and so quick in its results.

HOW TO TELL WHEN OLIVE OIL HAS GONE BAD

Wilted slimy lettuce, moldy fruit, and discolored vegetables are easy indicators that your produce has gone bad. It doesn't take an expiration date to tell you it's past its prime. But what about olive oil? Has that bottle on the counter been properly stored or is it in the same boat as the moldy peach in the fruit bowl? Can you trust the sell by, use by, or expired by date? Light, air, and storage temperature can affect the shelf life despite the date printed. Instead of referring to the code on the bottle, rely on your senses.
